212-241-6756

Dr. Wolin directs the Center for Carcinoid and Neuroendocrine Tumors at the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai, where he oversees clinical care and translational research for patients with well-differentiated neuroendocrine malignancies. His appointment as Professor of Medicine, Hematology, and Medical Oncology places him at the intersection of patient management and scientific inquiry. Previous leadership roles at Montefiore Einstein Cancer Center and Cedars-Sinai Medical Center refined his expertise in multidisciplinary program building and clinical-trial design.

Research interests focus on targeted biologics, mTOR inhibition, angiogenesis blockade, and peptide-receptor radionuclide therapy; these themes inform phase-II and phase-III trials that shape guideline recommendations. Collaborative laboratory studies examine somatostatin-receptor density, circulating tumor DNA, and imaging biomarkers to predict response and resistance. Findings circulate through peer-review journals and international congresses, accelerating adoption of evidence-based strategies across academic and community practices.

Professional service includes co-medical directorship of the Carcinoid Cancer Foundation, journal peer review for Journal of Clinical Oncology and Clinical Cancer Research, and advisory roles for federal grant panels. These activities ensure that patient advocacy, regulatory oversight, and scientific rigor remain integral to his clinical mission.
