Dr. Gottfried E. Konecny

Dr. Gottfried E. Konecny, MD, is a highly regarded medical oncologist at UCLA Health and the UCLA Jonsson Comprehensive Cancer Center, where he focuses on the treatment of gynecologic and breast cancers. He is a Professor of Medicine in the Division of Hematology and Oncology at the David Geffen School of Medicine at UCLA. Dr. Konecny earned his medical degree from Ludwig Maximilian University of Munich and completed his residency and fellowship training in medical oncology both in Germany and at UC San Francisco. He is board-certified in internal medicine and medical oncology, providing expert care to patients with ovarian, endometrial, cervical, and breast cancers through both in-person and telemedicine consultations.

Dr. Konecny is internationally recognized for his work in targeted therapies and translational oncology. His research has contributed significantly to the development of HER2-targeted agents, PI3K pathway inhibitors, and molecular diagnostics in breast and ovarian cancer. He has led and participated in numerous clinical trials, focusing on integrating molecular profiling into treatment strategies and improving outcomes through precision medicine.
