Dr. Herbert Lepor, MD, is a nationally acclaimed urologic oncologist and expert in prostate cancer surgery, currently leading as the Martin Spatz Chair of the Department of Urology at NYU Langone Health and Professor of Urology at NYU Grossman School of Medicine. He earned his medical degree from Weill Cornell Medical College, followed by residency training in urology at Columbia-Presbyterian Medical Center. Board-certified in urology, Dr. Lepor has spent over three decades providing advanced surgical and medical care to patients with prostate cancer and benign prostatic hyperplasia (BPH).

Dr. Lepor is especially known for his pioneering work in nerve-sparing radical prostatectomy and minimally invasive approaches to prostate cancer treatment. He has led multiple clinical trials and translational studies aimed at optimizing oncologic and functional outcomes after surgery, with his work frequently published in top-tier journals such as The Journal of Urology, Urology, and Cancer.
