Dr. Kathleen N. Moore, MD, MS, is a nationally recognized gynecologic oncologist specializing in ovarian cancer and novel therapeutics for women’s cancers. She serves as the Virginia Kerley Cade Endowed Chair of Cancer Developmental Therapeutics and Professor of Gynecologic Oncology at the University of Oklahoma Health Sciences Center, where she is also Associate Director of Clinical Research at the Stephenson Cancer Center. Dr. Moore earned her medical degree from the University of Oklahoma College of Medicine, completed residency training in obstetrics and gynecology at the University of Oklahoma, and pursued fellowship training in gynecologic oncology at the same institution. She also earned a Master of Science in Clinical and Translational Research. She is board-certified in Obstetrics and Gynecology and Gynecologic Oncology.
Dr. Moore’s research focuses on developing and testing novel therapies for ovarian cancer, including PARP inhibitors, antibody-drug conjugates, and immunotherapeutics. She has served as principal investigator on pivotal trials that have established new standards of care for recurrent ovarian cancer. Her translational research explores mechanisms of drug resistance and strategies to personalize therapy based on tumor biology. She has authored extensively in leading oncology journals and is a frequent invited speaker at national and international meetings.
A dedicated clinician and mentor, Dr. Moore is recognized for her compassionate care and for training the next generation of gynecologic oncologists. She plays an active role in cooperative group research and guideline development, influencing standards of care in ovarian cancer. Through her leadership in clinical research and commitment to innovation, Dr. Kathleen Moore continues to advance the treatment of women’s cancers worldwide.
