Dr. Kepal N. Patel

Dr. Kepal N. Patel, MD, FACS, is a distinguished endocrine and head and neck surgeon widely acknowledged for his expertise in thyroid and parathyroid diseases, as well as head and neck cancers. He is the Chief of the Division of Endocrine Surgery and Director of the Head and Neck Cancer Program at NYU Langone Health’s Perlmutter Cancer Center. A graduate of Rutgers New Jersey Medical School, Dr. Patel completed his residency and fellowship training at NYU Langone, where he has since established himself as a key leader in the surgical and academic community. Board-certified in general surgery, he specializes in minimally invasive and robotic approaches to complex endocrine and oncologic procedures.

Dr. Patel is celebrated for integrating innovative surgical techniques with molecular and translational research, particularly in thyroid cancer biology. His scholarly work has advanced the understanding of tumorigenesis and treatment resistance in endocrine malignancies.
