Dr. Konstantinos Arnaoutakis, MD, is a nationally recognized hematologist-oncologist specializing in thoracic malignancies, with a particular focus on lung cancer, mesothelioma, and head and neck cancers. He serves as Professor of Medicine in the Division of Hematology and Oncology at the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences (UAMS) Winthrop P. Rockefeller Cancer Institute. Dr. Arnaoutakis earned his medical degree from the University of Patras in Greece, completed his residency in internal medicine at Albany Medical College, and pursued fellowship training in hematology and oncology at St. Elizabeth’s Medical Center, Tufts University School of Medicine, where he served as Chief Fellow. He is board-certified in Internal Medicine, Hematology, and Medical Oncology and is widely regarded for his leadership in thoracic oncology and medical education.
A leader in clinical research, Dr. Arnaoutakis has been actively involved in national and international studies evaluating novel therapeutic approaches for lung and pleural cancers. He has contributed to multicenter clinical trials, including biomarker-driven protocols and immunotherapy investigations, aimed at improving survival and quality of life for patients with advanced thoracic malignancies.
