Dr. Lori J. Pierce, MD, FASTRO, FASCO, is a nationally recognized radiation oncologist specializing in breast cancer. She serves as Professor of Radiation Oncology and Vice Provost for Academic and Faculty Affairs at the University of Michigan. She is also Director of the Michigan Radiation Oncology Quality Consortium, a statewide initiative to improve the quality of radiation oncology care. Dr. Pierce earned her medical degree from Duke University School of Medicine and completed residency training in radiation oncology at the University of Pennsylvania. She is board-certified in Radiation Oncology and widely respected for her leadership in breast cancer treatment and health equity.
Dr. Pierce’s research has focused on improving outcomes for women with breast cancer, particularly those with aggressive subtypes such as triple-negative disease.
