Dr. Mary Maluccio, MD, MPH, FACS, is a distinguished surgical oncologist specializing in hepatobiliary, pancreatic, and neuroendocrine tumors. She serves as Chief of Surgical Oncology at LSU Health Sciences Center in New Orleans and directs the Neuroendocrine and Rare Cancer Program within LCMC Health. Dr. Maluccio earned her medical degree from New York Medical College, completed her residency in general surgery at New York University Medical Center, and pursued fellowship training in surgical oncology at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center. She also earned a Master of Public Health from Columbia University. She is board-certified in General Surgery with subspecialty certification in Complex General Surgical Oncology.
Dr. Maluccio’s clinical expertise encompasses complex liver and pancreas resections, minimally invasive surgery, and multidisciplinary management of rare malignancies. Her research has addressed outcomes in hepatobiliary and neuroendocrine cancers, with emphasis on biomarkers, surgical innovation, and equitable access to advanced cancer care.
