Dr. Neil Iyengar

Dr. Neil M. Iyengar, MD, is a renowned medical oncologist specializing in breast cancer and the intersection of metabolic health and oncology. He serves as Professor and Section Chief of Breast Medical Oncology at Emory University’s Winship Cancer Institute, where he leads clinical and translational research initiatives focused on improving cancer outcomes through metabolic intervention. Dr. Iyengar earned his medical degree from the University of Illinois College of Medicine, completed his internal medicine residency at Yale-New Haven Hospital, and pursued fellowship training in medical oncology at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center. Prior to joining Emory, he served as a faculty member at Memorial Sloan Kettering, where he co-led the Obesity and Cancer Program.

Dr. Iyengar is internationally recognized for his pioneering work on how obesity, inflammation, and metabolic dysfunction influence breast cancer development, progression, and treatment response.
