Dr. Paul L. Nguyen

Dr. Paul L. Nguyen, MD, is a nationally recognized radiation oncologist specializing in prostate cancer. He is Professor of Radiation Oncology at Harvard Medical School and serves as Director of Genitourinary Radiation Oncology and Vice Chair for Clinical Research in the Department of Radiation Oncology at Dana-Farber Cancer Institute and Brigham and Women’s Hospital. Dr. Nguyen earned his medical degree from Harvard Medical School, completed his residency in radiation oncology at Harvard, and joined the faculty at Dana-Farber/Brigham shortly thereafter. He is board-certified in Radiation Oncology and is widely acknowledged for his leadership in genitourinary oncology.

Dr. Nguyen’s research focuses on optimizing radiotherapy and multimodality treatment strategies for prostate cancer. He has led randomized clinical trials investigating hormonal therapy in combination with radiation and has published extensively on outcomes, toxicity, and quality-of-life measures. His work has influenced national guidelines and helped refine treatment sequencing for localized and advanced prostate cancer.
