Dr. Robert J. Reiter, MD, is a nationally recognized urologic oncologist specializing in the surgical and multidisciplinary treatment of prostate and kidney cancers. He serves as the Bing Professor of Urologic Oncology and Director of the UCLA Prostate Cancer Program, as well as Co-Director of the UCLA Institute of Urologic Oncology. Dr. Reiter earned his medical degree from Stanford University School of Medicine and completed his residency in urology at Stanford, followed by a fellowship in urologic oncology at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center. He is board-certified in Urology and is widely respected for his leadership in prostate cancer care and translational research.
Dr. Reiter is known for his expertise in robotic and nerve-sparing prostatectomy, as well as advanced imaging and molecular diagnostics for prostate cancer. His research has focused on developing new imaging agents, biomarkers, and therapeutic targets for aggressive and recurrent prostate cancer. He has led numerous clinical trials and translational studies that have contributed to major advances in prostate cancer detection and management. A prolific academic, Dr. Reiter has authored over 200 peer-reviewed publications and serves on editorial boards of leading urologic and oncology journals.
