Dr. Robert W. Holloway

Dr. Robert W. Holloway, MD, is a nationally recognized gynecologic oncologist specializing in minimally invasive and robotic-assisted surgery for gynecologic cancers. He serves as Medical Director of the Gynecologic Oncology Program at AdventHealth Cancer Institute in Orlando and is a founding member of the Global Robotics Institute. Dr. Holloway earned his medical degree from Vanderbilt University School of Medicine, completed his residency in obstetrics and gynecology at the University of Alabama at Birmingham, and pursued fellowship training in gynecologic oncology at Georgetown University Hospital. He is board-certified in Obstetrics and Gynecology and in Gynecologic Oncology.

Dr. Holloway is widely known for his leadership in robotic surgery and has been a pioneer in developing advanced surgical techniques for ovarian, endometrial, and cervical cancers. He has served as principal investigator on numerous clinical trials exploring innovations such as sentinel lymph node mapping, targeted therapy, and surgical quality improvement. A respected academic and innovator, Dr. Holloway has published extensively in peer-reviewed journals and is frequently invited to speak at national and international surgical conferences. His contributions have helped define new standards for minimally invasive treatment in gynecologic oncology.

In addition to his clinical and research accomplishments, Dr. Holloway is a dedicated educator and mentor, training surgeons in advanced robotic procedures from institutions around the world. He holds leadership positions in several professional societies, including the Society of Gynecologic Oncology, and plays an active role in shaping national surgical education and clinical practice standards.
