Dr. Susan C. Pannullo, MD, is a nationally recognized neurosurgical oncologist specializing in the treatment of brain tumors and the use of advanced stereotactic radiosurgery. She serves as Professor of Neurological Surgery and Director of Neurosurgical Radiosurgery and Neuro-Oncology at Weill Cornell Medicine. Dr. Pannullo earned her medical degree and undergraduate degree from Cornell University, completed her neurology residency at NewYork-Presbyterian/Weill Cornell, and pursued additional fellowship training in neuro-oncology at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center. She is board-certified in Neurology and Neurological Surgery.
Dr. Pannullo is widely respected for her expertise in noninvasive radiosurgical techniques, using platforms such as Gamma Knife, Novalis, and CyberKnife to treat brain metastases, meningiomas, arteriovenous malformations, and spine tumors. One of the few neurosurgeons in the country devoted exclusively to stereotactic radiosurgery, she has played a pivotal role in expanding access to high-precision, minimally invasive treatment options for patients with complex neurological conditions. Her academic work has contributed to advancements in image-guided therapy and multidisciplinary neuro-oncology care.
A dedicated educator and leader, Dr. Pannullo has served on national committees and advisory boards, including those of the American Association of Neurological Surgeons and the National Brain Tumor Society. She is also a strong advocate for women in medicine and recently became the first woman to be named full Professor of Neurological Surgery at Weill Cornell Medicine.
