Dr. Thomas P. Morrissey, MD, is a respected gynecologic oncologist with expertise in the surgical and medical management of cancers affecting the female reproductive system, including ovarian, uterine, cervical, vulvar, and vaginal malignancies. He serves as Director of Gynecologic Oncology at Baptist Health’s Lynn Cancer Institute in Boca Raton, Florida. Dr. Morrissey earned his medical degree from SUNY Upstate Medical University and completed his residency in obstetrics and gynecology at Magee-Women’s Hospital, University of Pittsburgh, where he served as Administrative Chief Resident. He went on to complete fellowship training in gynecologic oncology at the University of North Carolina School of Medicine. He is board-certified in Obstetrics and Gynecology and Gynecologic Oncology and is widely recognized for his expertise in advanced and minimally invasive surgical techniques.

A leader in robotic-assisted surgery and personalized cancer care, Dr. Morrissey has been instrumental in advancing the use of minimally invasive approaches for gynecologic cancers. His clinical interests include hereditary cancer syndromes, HPV-related precancers, and the integration of precision medicine into gynecologic oncology. He has participated in multiple clinical trials and has contributed to national research efforts aimed at improving outcomes for women with gynecologic malignancies. Dr. Morrissey previously led the Division of Gynecologic Oncology at Cleveland Clinic Florida and held an academic appointment as Clinical Assistant Professor of Surgery at Case Western Reserve University.

In addition to his clinical and research contributions, Dr. Morrissey is a dedicated educator and patient advocate. He mentors medical trainees and collaborates with multidisciplinary teams to deliver compassionate, evidence-based care. He is a Fellow of the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists and the American College of Surgeons and a full member of the Society of Gynecologic Oncology. Through his commitment to surgical innovation, patient-centered care, and collaborative leadership, Dr. Thomas Morrissey continues to make a meaningful impact in the field of gynecologic oncology.
