Dr. William K. Oh

Dr. William K. Oh, MD, is a nationally recognized medical oncologist specializing in genitourinary malignancies, with a particular focus on prostate cancer and precision oncology. He serves as Director of Precision Medicine at Yale Cancer Center and Smilow Cancer Hospital, where he also holds the role of Service Line Medical Director at Smilow Cancer Hospital in Greenwich. Dr. Oh received his undergraduate degree from Yale University and earned his medical degree from New York University School of Medicine. He completed his residency in internal medicine at Brigham and Women’s Hospital and a fellowship in medical oncology at the Dana-Farber Cancer Institute. He is board-certified in Medical Oncology and Internal Medicine and is widely known for integrating molecular diagnostics and genomics into the care of patients with advanced prostate cancer.

A leader in precision cancer medicine, Dr. Oh has played a pivotal role in the development of clinical and genomic databases for prostate cancer and has led numerous trials aimed at personalizing treatment for patients with genitourinary cancers. His research focuses on biomarkers of treatment response, therapeutic resistance, and disparities in prostate cancer outcomes. He has authored over 350 peer-reviewed publications and book chapters and has edited multiple textbooks in oncology. In addition to his clinical and scientific accomplishments, Dr. Oh is a dedicated educator and thought leader in oncology. He previously served as Chief of the Division of Hematology and Medical Oncology at Mount Sinai and held faculty positions at Harvard Medical School and the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai. He currently chairs the American Cancer Society’s National Prostate Cancer Roundtable and serves on the Medical Advisory Board of the Chemotherapy Foundation.
