He has written or co-authored the chapter on surgical management of testicular cancer in Campbell's Urology (8th, 9th, and 10th editions) and DeVita's Principles and Practice of Oncology (5th through 9th editions), two of the most authoritative reference works in urology and oncology.
Dr. Sheinfeld is a respected leader in urologic education and professional societies. He serves as faculty director for the American Urological Association's course on testicular cancer and is a member of the National Comprehensive Cancer Network's guidelines committees for both testicular cancer and kidney cancer. He is an associate editor of Urology and the World Journal of Urology, a reviewer for numerous peer-reviewed journals, and an active member of the American Association of Urology and the Society of Urologic Oncology, where he previously served on the board of directors.
