Lymphoma Specialist, specializing in lymphoma
Dr. Mark Roschewski, MD, is a hematologist-oncologist at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center (MSK) with specialized expertise in the treatment of lymphoma, a cancer originating in the white blood cells of the immune system. He sees patients at Memorial Hospital, MSK's main hospital, and at the David H. Koch Center for Cancer Care at MSK. Dr. Roschewski began his medical career as an active-duty physician at Walter Reed Army Medical Center, where he served for 12 years before joining the U.S. Public Health Service (USPHS) as faculty at the National Cancer Institute. He retired from the USPHS as a Captain in 2023 and joined MSK in 2025.
Dr. Roschewski is recognized as an expert in treating aggressive B-cell lymphomas, including diffuse large B-cell lymphoma, Burkitt's lymphoma, and lymphomas that have spread to the central nervous system. His research focuses on circulating tumor DNA, a liquid biopsy approach that analyzes cancer-derived DNA shed into the bloodstream, with the goal of developing more targeted therapies for patients with lymphoma. He is also actively involved in clinical trials, which allows him to offer patients access to newer treatments that may not be available elsewhere and keeps him current with the latest advances in the field.
Dr. Roschewski is committed to patient-centered care grounded in open and honest communication. He works collaboratively with patients to help them understand their diagnosis and treatment options, tailoring decisions to personal goals while aiming to achieve the best outcomes with minimal long-term side effects. He values the bond between physician and patient, a principle that has guided his career from military medicine through federal service and into his current practice at MSK. Outside of medicine, he is a trained singer and enjoys golf and traveling with his family.
