Dr. Shamir Geller

Dr. Shamir Geller, MD, is a dermatologist specializing in cutaneous lymphoma and skin cancer at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center (MSK). His clinical expertise encompasses the diagnosis and treatment of cutaneous T-cell lymphoma, including mycosis fungoides and related subtypes, as well as B-cell lymphomas of the skin, basal cell carcinoma, squamous cell carcinoma, early-stage melanoma, and other rare skin cancers. Dr. Geller developed his specialized focus during his fellowship training in cutaneous oncology at MSK, where he built a strong foundation in managing the full spectrum of skin lymphoma subtypes.

In his clinic, Dr. Geller partners closely with medical oncologists, pathologists, radiation oncologists, and other specialists to deliver comprehensive, multidisciplinary care. His approach places particular emphasis on addressing symptoms, patient comfort, personal preferences, and quality of life. In addition to standard treatment options, he offers patients access to promising novel therapies through clinical trials at MSK. His research examines the incidence and prognosis of skin lymphoma across specific populations, including ethnic, elderly, and pediatric groups, and explores its association with other medical conditions and therapies. He also works to identify new prognostic factors and improve diagnostic approaches for cutaneous lymphoma.

Dr. Geller is deeply committed to education and the training of the next generation of dermatologists. He mentors fellows, residents, and students in both clinical and research settings at MSK, and shares his expertise with colleagues through invited lectures at national and international dermatology meetings. He is also the author of numerous peer-reviewed journal articles. Outside of medicine, he enjoys spending time with his family, traveling, cooking, and camping.
