Dr. Sue Park

Dr. Sue Park, MD, is a medical oncologist specializing in the care of patients with all types and stages of breast cancer. She practices at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center, where she works closely with colleagues in breast medicine, breast surgery, and radiation oncology to deliver comprehensive, high-quality care. Dr. Park was initially drawn to oncology by the rapid pace of discovery and advancement in cancer treatment, but found that the deep personal impact of caring for patients with this disease made the work profoundly rewarding.

Dr. Park brings a strong commitment to patient-centered care and to addressing the full range of challenges that a cancer diagnosis presents. As the child of immigrant parents, she is particularly dedicated to ensuring that patients and their families have access to the information and resources they need to navigate the unique barriers cancer can create. She works alongside an experienced multidisciplinary team that includes nurses, social workers, therapists, nutritionists, pharmacists, and financial assistance professionals who support patients throughout their treatment journey. Her clinical approach incorporates the latest advances in oncology, including molecular tumor profiling to identify the most effective therapies for each individual, precision medicine to guide targeted treatment recommendations, and novel therapies such as antibody drug conjugates, which combine elements of immunotherapy and chemotherapy for more targeted treatment.

Dr. Park's overarching goal is to help every patient feel comfortable and confident throughout their cancer experience, reassured that their treatment plan has been carefully tailored to their unique needs. She believes that each person's story and cancer is distinct, and she is committed to partnering with patients every step of the way. Outside of medicine, she enjoys traveling to new destinations and exploring different cultures, running along the West Side Highway, and spending time with her Cavapoo, Ruby.
