Dr. Tiffany A. Traina

Dr. Tiffany A. Traina, MD, FASCO, is a board-certified medical oncologist whose clinical practice is dedicated exclusively to the care of patients with all stages of breast cancer. She practices as part of a large, multidisciplinary team of specialists focused on providing exceptional care to patients with breast cancer. Dr. Traina is deeply committed to developing new therapeutic options through her research, with the ultimate goal of eradicating the disease. Her clinical and scientific work reflects a dual commitment to both compassionate patient care and advancing the field through rigorous investigation.

Dr. Traina's research has centered on novel, targeted therapies for triple negative breast cancer (TNBC), one of the most challenging subtypes of the disease. She serves as lead investigator for a multicenter trial studying androgen receptor inhibition in advanced TNBC and has investigated additional therapeutic targets including src and PARP. She has also collaborated on developing biologic predictors of response to conventional therapies such as platinum, and has worked to optimize drug delivery schedules to minimize side effects while maximizing treatment benefits. Her work has received grant support from the Breast Cancer Alliance and the Translational Breast Cancer Research Consortium (TBCRC), where she serves on the Triple Negative Breast Cancer working group panel. She has presented her research findings at major international forums including the San Antonio Breast Cancer Symposium and the annual meeting of the American Society of Clinical Oncology (ASCO).

Dr. Traina is an active contributor to the broader oncology community through her educational and editorial roles. She is a member of the New York Metropolitan Breast Cancer Group and serves on the editorial board of the European Journal of Clinical and Medical Oncology, in addition to serving as an ad hoc reviewer for several clinical journals. Her research has been published in leading scientific publications including the Journal of Clinical Oncology and Clinical Cancer Research.
