Dr. Tiffany A. Traina, MD, FASCO, is a board-certified medical oncologist whose clinical practice is dedicated exclusively to the care of patients with all stages of breast cancer. Dr. Traina's research has centered on novel, targeted therapies for triple negative breast cancer (TNBC), one of the most challenging subtypes of the disease. She has also collaborated on developing biologic predictors of response to conventional therapies such as platinum, and has worked to optimize drug delivery schedules to minimize side effects while maximizing treatment benefits. Her work has received grant support from the Breast Cancer Alliance and the Translational Breast Cancer Research Consortium (TBCRC), where she serves on the Triple Negative Breast Cancer working group panel. She has presented her research findings at major international forums including the San Antonio Breast Cancer Symposium and the annual meeting of the American Society of Clinical Oncology (ASCO).
Dr. Traina is an active contributor to the broader oncology community through her educational and editorial roles. She is a member of the New York Metropolitan Breast Cancer Group and serves on the editorial board of the European Journal of Clinical and Medical Oncology, in addition to serving as an ad hoc reviewer for several clinical journals.
