About this trial
This trial looks at how well combining durvalumab, tremelimumab, and chemotherapy can lower the number of cancer cells in the blood for patients with stage III non-small cell lung cancer. The main goal is to see if this combination can reduce circulating tumor DNA, which indicates the presence of cancer. Doctors will also compare how long patients live and how long they stay free from cancer with detectable and undetectable tumor DNA.
The trial's ID number is NCT04585490. It is a Phase 3 study, meaning it is looking at how well these treatments work and their safety. The trial is regulated by the FDA and aims to include about 48 participants.
Who can join
Adults aged 18 and older can join this trial. It is open to men and women with locally advanced, inoperable stage III non-small cell lung cancer who have completed certain treatments. Participants must not have any known disease progression and must meet specific health criteria. The trial team will confirm eligibility before enrollment.
Conditions

What happens in the study
Participants will be divided into two groups. Those with detectable tumor DNA will receive a combination of chemotherapy, tremelimumab, and durvalumab for four cycles, followed by durvalumab for up to one year. Those with undetectable tumor DNA will receive durvalumab alone for one year. The trial involves regular check-ups using imaging tests to monitor progress.
