About this trial
This study looks at whether taking a Fisetin supplement can help decrease fatigue in older adults who have survived cancer. Participants in this trial will be 65 years or older and report feeling fatigued. They will take either Fisetin or a placebo (a pill with no medicine) for two weeks, followed by a switch to the other treatment. The goal is to see how Fisetin affects their energy levels over time.
The trial's ID number is NCT06819254. It is in Phase 4, which means it is looking at how well the treatment works and how safe it is. About 60 people will take part in this study, and it is regulated by the FDA.
Who can join
This trial is open to men and women aged 65 and older who have a history of cancer diagnosed more than a year ago. They should be feeling fatigued and able to walk without help. Some people cannot join, like those currently on certain medications or those with specific health issues. The trial team will confirm if each person is eligible before they can join.
The study team makes the final call on eligibility.
What happens in the study
Participants will be randomly placed into two groups. One group will take Fisetin for two weeks, then a placebo for two weeks. The other group will do the opposite: start with a placebo, then take Fisetin. Everyone will take their assigned pills twice a day. They will also have check-ups to assess their fatigue and overall health.
