About this trial
This study is looking at a new treatment for people with acute myelogenous leukemia (AML) that has not improved with other treatments. Researchers want to find the highest dose of special immune cells called cytokine-induced memory-like natural killer (NK) cells combined with the drug atezolizumab. They aim to see if this combination can help control the cancer with few side effects.
The trial's ID number is NCT07011004. This is a Phase 1 study, which means the researchers are looking at how well the treatment works and how safe it is. The study is regulated by the FDA and plans to include about 18 participants.
Who can join
Adults aged 18 to 70 years can join. This study is open to both men and women who have AML that has not responded to other treatments. Participants need to have a certain level of health and meet specific medical requirements. The trial team will confirm who can join before enrollment.
Conditions

Age group
Adult, Older adult
The study team makes the final call on eligibility.
What happens in the study
Everyone in the study will receive the special NK cells along with atezolizumab. Before receiving these treatments, participants will have a short course of chemotherapy to prepare their bodies. They will then get the NK cells through an IV and a single dose of atezolizumab, also through an IV. They will also receive an injection of a supporting medicine every other day for six doses.
