About this trial
This trial is looking at new ways to treat children and young adults with medulloblastoma. Medulloblastoma is a type of brain cancer. The study will test combining different therapies, including immune cell therapy and vaccines, to see how safe and effective they are. The focus is on patients with suspected recurrence or progression of Group 3 or 4 medulloblastoma.
The trial's ID number is NCT06514898. This is a Phase 1 trial, which means it is testing how well the treatment works and how safe it is. The study is regulated by the FDA and aims to include about 12 participants.
Who can join
This study is for children and young adults aged 4 to 30 who have suspected recurrence or progression of Group 3 or 4 medulloblastoma. They must be able to receive surgery or biopsy. Patients who cannot get radiation therapy due to genetic risks may also join. The trial team will confirm eligibility for each participant.
Conditions
Recurrent Group 3 Medulloblastoma, Recurrent Group 4 (Non-SHH/Non-WNT) Medulloblastoma
The study team makes the final call on eligibility.
What happens in the study
Everyone in the trial will receive a combination of treatments. After surgery, patients will get vaccines made from their tumor cells and immune cells. They will also receive a special drug called pembrolizumab to help boost their immune response. The treatment involves several cycles of vaccines and infusions of immune cells, with careful monitoring throughout the process.
