Finding new ways to help patients with uveal melanoma before surgery
NCT07015190 · RecruitingThis study looks at using a medicine called darovasertib before surgery for patients with uveal melanoma that has not spread. The main goal is to see if darovasertib can help patients keep their vision and avoid surgery. Patients will receive darovasertib and then undergo different types of local treatments, depending on their group in the study.

Who can join
Adults aged 18 and older of any gender can join. They should have primary non-metastatic uveal melanoma and be able to give consent. People who have had previous treatment for this cancer or have other serious eye issues may not be eligible. The trial team will check to make sure everyone meets the requirements.
What happens during the trial
Participants will be assigned by chance to one of two groups. One group will receive darovasertib followed by local therapy, like plaque brachytherapy or enucleation. The other group will have local therapy right away without darovasertib. Everyone will be monitored for up to 3 years to see how well they do.
