About this trial
This clinical trial looks at how safe Metformin is when given alone and with chemotherapy or immunotherapy in patients with solid tumor cancers. Researchers want to find out the side effects of Metformin at different doses and the highest dose that can be safely used together with these treatments. Participants will take Metformin for 14 days before starting their next cycle of chemotherapy and will continue taking it daily with their standard treatment.
The trial's ID number is NCT07098299. This is a Phase 1 trial, which means it is looking at how well the treatment works and how safe it is. The trial is FDA-regulated and aims to include about 60 participants.
Who can join
The trial is open to adults aged 18 and older, both men and women. Participants must have a confirmed advanced solid tumor and be suitable for chemotherapy or immunotherapy. They must also be able to tolerate oral medications and have signed consent. Some health conditions might prevent participation, and the trial team will confirm eligibility.
