Measuring the Benefits of Combined Radiation Therapies for Thyroid Cancer

The aim is to find the best way to deliver high doses of radiation safely. Researchers think that combining radioactive iodine with external beam radiation could be more effective than using either treatment alone. They will check how safe this combination is and how well it works over time.

Who can join
Patients aged 18 to 85 can join this study. It is for both men and women with a type of thyroid cancer called differentiated thyroid carcinoma that has not responded well to previous treatments. Participants should have specific types of tumors that are not completely removable and should have certain health conditions met. The trial team will confirm if potential participants are eligible.
What happens during the trial
All participants will receive a combination of external beam radiation and radioactive iodine. This treatment aims to deliver high doses of radiation to up to three selected tumors. There is no random assignment; everyone in the study will get the same treatment.
