Pairing Healthy Women to Study Early Signs of Ovarian Cancer

Researchers will collect vaginal swabs and stool samples from healthy women and compare these to samples from women at higher risk of ovarian cancer. The goal is to understand if these samples can help predict the development of ovarian cancer.

Who can join
Women aged 30 to 50 who have ovaries can join. They should not have certain genetic mutations that increase cancer risk, a history of cancer or cancer treatment, or have used hormone replacement therapy or antibiotics within the past month. The trial team will confirm who is eligible.
What happens during the trial
Participants will collect vaginal swabs and a stool sample. This is done by the participants themselves. They will be in one group of healthy volunteers who do not have a genetic risk for ovarian cancer. Samples will be collected only once during the study.
