About this trial
This study is looking at how well a vaccine, a sugar called beta-glucan, and a protein called GM-CSF work together as a treatment for high-risk neuroblastoma. It focuses on patients who are in complete remission. The goal is to see if this combination can help strengthen the immune system's response against cancer cells.
The trial's ID number is NCT04936529. It is a Phase 2 trial, which means it is looking at how well the treatment works and its safety. This study is regulated by the FDA and aims to include about 286 participants.
Who can join
People of all ages can join, including children and older adults. Participants must have a confirmed diagnosis of neuroblastoma and be in complete remission. There are specific health criteria to meet, including some blood test results. The trial team will confirm who is eligible.
The study team makes the final call on eligibility.
What happens in the study
Participants will be placed into one of three groups. Group 1 will receive the vaccine and beta-glucan but no GM-CSF. Group 2 will receive the vaccine, beta-glucan, and GM-CSF. Group 3 will include participants who cannot be randomized, such as those allergic to GM-CSF, and will receive a treatment similar to Group 1. Everyone will get the treatment according to their assigned group.
