Targeting Advanced Lung Cancer with Osimertinib Alone or with Bevacizumab
NCT04181060 · RecruitingThis trial looks at how well osimertinib works alone compared to when it is combined with bevacizumab for patients with advanced lung cancer that has a mutation in a gene called EGFR. The goal is to see if the combination helps control the cancer longer and improves outcomes. Osimertinib is a medicine that helps stop cancer cell growth, while bevacizumab works by cutting off the blood supply to tumors. Together, they may help patients live longer.

Who can join
This study is for adults aged 18 and older with non-squamous non-small cell lung cancer that has spread and has an EGFR mutation. People who have had certain previous treatments or have specific health risks may not be eligible. The trial team will confirm who can join.
What happens during the trial
Participants are randomly placed in one of two groups. In Arm A, patients take osimertinib by mouth every day. In Arm B, patients also take osimertinib and receive bevacizumab through an IV on the first day of each treatment cycle. Both groups will have regular tests and check-ups during the trial.
