About this trial
This study looks at a new treatment for patients with sarcoma in their arms or legs. It combines the medicine pembrolizumab with local chemotherapy delivered directly to the affected limb. The goal is to see if this approach can safely delay the growth of the disease.
This is a Phase 2 trial, which means it is looking at how well this treatment works and how safe it is. The study is regulated by the FDA and aims to include around 30 participants.
Who can join
Patients aged 12 and older can join the study. It is open to both men and women with specific types of sarcoma that have not responded to standard treatments. The study team will check if you meet all the requirements before you can participate.
Conditions
Sarcoma, Myxofibrosarcoma, Undifferentiated Pleomorphic Sarcoma, Alveolar Soft Part Sarcoma
The study team makes the final call on eligibility.
What happens in the study
Everyone in this study will receive pembrolizumab and undergo a procedure called isolated limb infusion (ILI). ILI involves giving chemotherapy directly to the affected limb. This will happen after starting pembrolizumab. Participants will receive treatments every three weeks.
