This trial looks at how well low-dose radiation therapy helps with bone pain in patients who have multiple myeloma that has spread to their bones. The goal is to see if this treatment can reduce pain and improve quality of life. Low-dose treatment may be easier for patients and may cause fewer side effects compared to standard methods.
The trial's ID number is NCT03858205. This is a Phase II trial, meaning it is looking at how well the treatment works and how safe it is. About 100 people are expected to participate. The trial is regulated by the FDA.
Who can join
Men and women aged 18 and older can join if they have a diagnosis of multiple myeloma and painful bone metastases. They should be able to understand and sign a consent form. Some patients may not be eligible if they have had prior radiation therapy on the painful area, have a fracture, or are pregnant. The trial team will confirm eligibility for each person.
