Treating Black Patients with Gastrointestinal Cancer Through Support and Care
NCT06263088 · RecruitingThis study aims to enhance the quality of care for Black patients diagnosed with gastrointestinal cancer. This includes cancers like colon, rectal, and stomach cancer. The research has three main parts: helping with biomarker testing, assisting with clinical trial enrollment, and improving health literacy about their condition and treatment options. Participants will receive standard care, not experimental treatments, while being supported throughout the process.

Who can join
This study is open to adults aged 18 and older. It includes Black patients newly diagnosed with various types of gastrointestinal cancer. There are no exclusions for this trial. The team will confirm who is eligible to join.
What happens during the trial
Participants will be part of a single group where they will gather data and develop programs. They will receive support in biomarker testing to help with treatment decisions. The study team will also assist them in enrolling in clinical trials if they choose to do so.
