This clinical trial is studying a medicine called tegavivint. It aims to find the best dose and see how safe it is for children, teens, and young adults with solid tumors that have come back or do not respond to treatment. Tegavivint may help stop tumor cells from growing by blocking certain signals inside the cells. The trial includes patients with various types of tumors, including lymphomas and desmoid tumors.
The trial's ID number is NCT04851119. It is in Phase 1/2, meaning it is looking at how well the treatment works and its safety. This trial is FDA-regulated and hopes to include about 147 participants.
Who can join
Young people aged 12 months to 30 years can join this trial. It is open to both boys and girls who have certain types of recurrent or hard-to-treat solid tumors. Participants must have proof of their cancer diagnosis and meet other health criteria. The trial team will check if you are eligible to join.
The study team makes the final call on eligibility.
What happens in the study
Everyone in the trial will receive tegavivint through an IV. The treatment is given over 4 hours on specific days in a 28-day cycle. Participants will also have blood samples taken and may undergo x-ray imaging and DEXA scans during the trial. The treatment can continue for up to 26 cycles or 24 months, depending on how they respond and any side effects.
