About this trial
This study is looking at how a fat flap procedure can help patients with head and neck cancer. The goal is to see if this method reduces issues in the neck after treatment. These issues can include trouble swallowing, pain, stiffness, and changes in appearance. Researchers will also check if it helps improve quality of life through patient questionnaires.
The trial's ID number is NCT05889091. This is a pilot study, meaning it is an early-stage trial. It is not related to any FDA-regulated drug or device. The study hopes to include around 12 participants.
Who can join
Adults 18 years and older can join if they have head and neck squamous cell carcinoma and need a specific type of surgery after treatment. It is open to both men and women. Patients who have a return of cancer at the original site are not eligible. The trial team will confirm if each person meets the requirements.

What happens in the study
