Dr. Mansour Gergi, MD, is an esteemed hematologist and medical oncologist specializing in malignant hematology, including lymphoma, myeloma, and acute leukemias. He serves as an Assistant Professor of Medicine in the Division of Hematology and Oncology at the Larner College of Medicine at the University of Vermont and provides care at the University of Vermont Medical Center. Dr. Gergi earned his medical degree from Saint Joseph University in Beirut, Lebanon, completed his residency in internal medicine at Staten Island University Hospital, and pursued fellowship training in hematology and oncology at Montefiore Medical Center/Albert Einstein College of Medicine. He is board-certified in Internal Medicine, Hematology, and Medical Oncology and is recognized for his commitment to patient-centered hematologic cancer care.
Dr. Gergi’s clinical and research focus includes the management of hematologic malignancies and the delivery of stem-cell transplant and CAR-T cell therapy. His scholarship has addressed risk stratification, treatment outcomes, and cardiovascular considerations in patients with blood cancers, including studies utilizing electronic health record data to identify rare but important complications. He has contributed to institutional and collaborative projects aimed at improving therapeutic strategies and outcomes in complex hematologic diseases.
