Dr. Manuel Hidalgo Medina, MD, PhD, is an internationally recognized medical oncologist specializing in gastrointestinal cancers, with a particular focus on pancreatic cancer. He serves as Chief of the Division of Hematology and Medical Oncology at Weill Cornell Medicine and NewYork-Presbyterian Hospital, and holds the Walter B. Wriston Chair in Pancreatic Cancer Research. Dr. Hidalgo earned his medical degree from the University of Navarra in Spain and a PhD in oncology from the Universidad Autónoma de Madrid. He completed his oncology training at Hospital 12 de Octubre in Madrid and a fellowship in drug development at the University of Texas Health Science Center in San Antonio. He is board-certified in Medical Oncology and is widely regarded for his leadership in cancer drug development and translational research.
