Dr. Michael Birrer, MD, PhD, is a nationally recognized gynecologic oncologist specializing in ovarian and other gynecologic malignancies. He serves as Director of the Winthrop P. Rockefeller Cancer Institute at the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences, where he also holds the position of Vice Chancellor. Dr. Birrer earned his MD and PhD degrees from Albert Einstein College of Medicine and completed residency training in internal medicine at Massachusetts General Hospital. He pursued fellowship training in medical oncology at the National Cancer Institute.
