Dr. Padmanee Sharma, MD, PhD, is a globally recognized immunologist and genitourinary medical oncologist known for her groundbreaking work in immune checkpoint therapy. She serves as Professor of Genitourinary Medical Oncology and Immunology at MD Anderson Cancer Center and is Scientific Director of the Immunotherapy Platform. Dr. Sharma earned her medical degree and PhD in Immunology from Pennsylvania State University, completed her residency in Internal Medicine at New York Hospital-Cornell Medical Center, and fellowship in Medical Oncology at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center.
