Dr. Raj Shrivastava, MD, is an internationally recognized neurosurgeon specializing in skull base surgery, brain tumors, and minimally invasive neurosurgical techniques. He is Vice Chair of Neurosurgery and Director of the Skull Base Surgery Center at the Mount Sinai Health System, as well as Professor of Neurosurgery, Otolaryngology, and Neuroscience at the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai. Dr. Shrivastava earned his medical degree from the University of Pennsylvania School of Medicine and completed his neurosurgical residency and fellowship training at Mount Sinai, where he continues to lead groundbreaking clinical and academic programs. He is board-certified in Neurological Surgery.
Dr. Shrivastava is widely recognized for his expertise in treating complex skull base conditions, including acoustic neuromas, meningiomas, pituitary tumors, and cranial nerve disorders. He is a pioneer in endoscopic and keyhole approaches to brain tumors and has developed innovative surgical strategies that reduce recovery time and preserve neurological function.
