Dr. Robert L.Ferris

Dr. Robert L. Ferris, MD, PhD, is a nationally recognized head and neck surgical oncologist specializing in immuno-oncology and translational cancer research. He serves as Director of UPMC Hillman Cancer Center, Associate Vice Chancellor for Cancer Research at the University of Pittsburgh, and Hillman Professor of Oncology. Dr. Ferris earned his medical degree and PhD in immunology from Johns Hopkins University, completed his residency in otolaryngology–head and neck surgery, and pursued fellowship training in head and neck surgical oncology. He is board-certified in Otolaryngology–Head and Neck Surgery and widely regarded for his leadership in cancer immunotherapy and head and neck cancer treatment.
