Neuro-Oncologist, specializing in Neurologic Cancers
Dr. Soma Sengupta, MD, PhD, is a well-regarded neuro-oncologist specializing in primary and metastatic brain tumors, with a focus on novel therapeutics and translational neuro-oncology. She serves as Division Chief of Neuro-Oncology and Co-Director of the Brain Tumor Center at the University of Cincinnati Cancer Center. Dr. Sengupta earned her medical degree and PhD in pharmacology from the University of Cambridge, United Kingdom. She completed residency training in neurology at Emory University, followed by fellowship training in neuro-oncology at Dana-Farber Cancer Institute and Massachusetts General Hospital, Harvard Medical School. She is board-certified in Neurology and Neuro-Oncology.
Dr. Sengupta’s research interests include novel drug development for gliomas and brain metastases, with an emphasis on repurposed agents and targeted therapies. She has participated in both translational and clinical studies, working to bridge discoveries from the laboratory into therapeutic approaches for patients.
