Dr Mariam Jamal-Hanjani is a Thoracic Oncologist at University College London Hospitals (UCLH) in London, where she treats lung cancer. She trained first in physics and then in medicine at UCL, and went on to complete her general medical and oncology training in London. She later returned to UCL for a PhD in cancer genetics, supported by a Cancer Research UK Clinical Research Fellowship awarded in 2012.
