About this trial
This study looks at how well a drug called paclitaxel works for women with breast cancer who are getting ready for surgery. The main goal is to see if tumors with more chromosomal instability respond better to paclitaxel. Participants will receive paclitaxel weekly for several cycles before their surgery, and researchers will gather information about how the drug affects tumor and non-tumor tissues.
This trial is identified by the NCT number NCT03096418. It is a Phase 4 study, which means it looks at how well the treatment works and its safety. The study involves up to 50 participants and is regulated by the FDA.
Who can join
Women aged 18 and older with diagnosed breast cancer can join. They should be able to receive paclitaxel as part of their treatment and must not have any spread of cancer to other parts of the body. Participants need to agree to additional biopsies and must not be pregnant or breastfeeding. The trial team will confirm if each person is eligible to join.
