About this trial
This trial looks at collecting blood, tissue, urine, and tumor samples from children and adults with certain cancers, like leukemia and neuroblastoma. The main goal is to create a tissue repository that helps researchers better understand these cancers. By analyzing these samples, the study aims to improve our knowledge of cancer biology and develop new treatments.
This trial's ID is NCT01109394. It is observational, which means it looks at participants without giving treatments. The study is not for a specific drug or device and aims to enroll about 6,035 people.
Who can join
Anyone diagnosed with a common childhood cancer can join, regardless of age. This includes children, teens, and adults. Relatives of patients with cancer can also participate, as well as healthy volunteers. The trial team will check if you are eligible to join.
Conditions
Sarcoma, Endocrine Tumors, Neuroblastoma, Retinoblastoma, Renal Cancer
The study team makes the final call on eligibility.
What happens in the study
Participants will provide blood, tissue, urine, or tumor samples during routine medical care or studies. The study has different groups: one for those with any type of cancer, one for relatives of cancer patients, and one for parents of children in the study. Everyone's samples will be used for research.
