About this trial
This study looks at how well a special imaging test called 68Ga-DOTATATE PET/MRI works for patients with certain types of brain tumors that have somatostatin receptors. These tumors include meningioma and others like hemangioblastoma and medulloblastoma. The goal is to see if this test can help tell the difference between tumor recurrence and changes after treatment. This is important for better treatment planning and care.
The trial's ID number is NCT04081701. This is a Phase 4 study, which means it is looking at how well the test works in real-world settings. The study is regulated by the FDA and aims to include about 200 participants.
Who can join
Anyone aged 18 to 100 can join. People must have a diagnosis of meningioma or other related tumors. Those who cannot have a 3 Tesla MRI may still participate with a different type of MRI. Some people cannot join if they are allergic to certain contrast agents, have had an allergic reaction to Gallium-68-DOTATATE, or are pregnant.
Conditions
CNS Tumors, Meningioma, Esthesioneuroblastoma, Hemangioblastoma, Medulloblastoma, Paraganglioma, Pituitary Adenoma

What happens in the study
Participants will either be in a group with meningioma or a group with other types of tumors. Everyone will receive the 68Ga-DOTATATE PET/MRI test. This test will be done before surgery and may be repeated for follow-up care. Participants will not be randomly assigned to groups; they will be placed based on their tumor type.
