About this trial
This study looks at three different treatments for pelvic sarcomas, which are types of cancer in the bone. The treatments are carbon ion therapy, surgery, and proton therapy. The goal is to see which treatment offers better control of the disease and fewer side effects for patients. Researchers also want to understand how these treatments affect patients' quality of life over time.
The trial's ID number is NCT05033288. This is an observational study, meaning it focuses on observing outcomes without giving specific treatments. The trial is not regulated by the FDA for drugs but is for devices. About 72 participants are expected to be included.
Who can join
Anyone aged 15 and older can join if they have a specific type of pelvic sarcoma and no signs of the cancer spreading to other parts of the body. Women who can have children must agree to use birth control. Some people, like those with recurrent disease or previous radiation to the treatment area, cannot join. The trial team will confirm who can participate.
Conditions
Bone Sarcoma, Chondrosarcoma, Chordoma, Ewing Sarcoma of Bone, Pelvic Rhabdomyosarcoma
