This study focuses on collecting blood and tissue samples for research on cancers related to HIV/AIDS. By studying these samples, doctors hope to understand how biological and genetic factors are connected to HIV and certain cancers that affect people living with HIV. The research aims to improve treatments and outcomes for those with these conditions.
This study is registered under the ID NCT05663502. It is an observational study, which means it is looking at how well the sample collection works for future research. The trial aims to include around 200 participants.
Who can join
Adults aged 18 and older can join. This study is open to people who are HIV-positive and have been diagnosed with cancer. It also includes those who are HIV-negative but have specific types of cancer related to HIV. The trial team will confirm who is eligible to participate.
The study team makes the final call on eligibility.
What happens in the study
Participants will donate blood once, which will be stored for research. They may also donate tissue samples from a past or upcoming procedure. This study is observational, meaning it focuses on collecting these samples without changing participants' treatments.
