About this trial
This study looks at how brain mapping can help doctors understand brain function in patients with brain tumors. The main goal is to see how well different imaging techniques predict the location of important brain functions before and after surgery. Researchers will also examine how brain functions change after surgery.
The trial's ID number is NCT01535430. This is an observational study, meaning it looks at how things are in a real-world setting. About 75 participants are expected to join this study. It is FDA-regulated for devices but not for drugs.
Who can join
This trial is open to adults aged 19 and older. Participants must have a brain tumor located in or near important areas of the brain and be able to safely take part in the study. Some people may not be able to join, such as those with certain medical conditions or those who are pregnant. The trial team will check eligibility.
Conditions
Primary Brain Tumor, Metastatic Brain Tumor

What happens in the study
Participants will receive standard care that includes brain mapping before, during, and after surgery. They will undergo various tests and imaging to assess brain function. The study will track outcomes related to brain function for one year after surgery.
