About this trial
This trial is looking at whether patients with brain metastases can safely skip radiation therapy if they respond well to other treatments like chemotherapy or immunotherapy. The study will include 45 patients. They will be divided into two groups: 30 with non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC) and 15 with other types of tumors. The goal is to see if these patients can be monitored without needing radiation after starting their treatment.
The trial's ID number is NCT06974370. It is in Phase 2, which means it is looking at how well the treatment works and how safe it is. The trial is not regulated by the FDA and aims to include about 45 participants.
Who can join
Men and women aged 18 and older can join this study if they have a confirmed cancer diagnosis and at least one brain metastasis not planned for radiation or surgery. They should be starting or planning to start a systemic therapy that can affect the brain. The trial team will confirm who is eligible to participate.

What happens in the study
All participants will receive standard treatment for their cancer that is expected to work in the brain. They will have an MRI brain scan 4-8 weeks after starting treatment. If their brain tumors are stable or shrinking, they will continue treatment and have follow-up MRIs every 3 months. Radiation therapy will only be given if their condition worsens.
